J Hettinger Interiors to Sponsor Martinez Opera Production “A Night at the Opera”
DANVILLE, Ca, September 7, 2010—J Hettinger Interiors ( www.jhettinger.com) the East Bay’s largest interior design firm will proudly sponsor an evening of opera at the Crow Canyon Country Club to benefit at risk and challenged youth.
In his ongoing mission to support local causes, Jerry Hettinger, President and Founder of J Hettinger Interiors has partnered with another worthy organization, Martinez Opera (MTZO). “The Martinez Opera does phenomenal work with their outreach program. They introduce this art form to children who might otherwise never experience this type of music,” states Mr. Hettinger. The program has really been turned around and we’re so proud to be partnering with them for this upcoming event” Jerry continues.
The event is “A Night at the Opera” and will be held at Danville’s Crow Canyon Country Club on September 17. Tickets may be purchased at or by calling (925) 372-6557 and they are anticipating anywhere from 100 to 300 attendees. Maria Billingsley, Executive Director for the opera company states “ I vowed that the number one mission of the organization is to expose opera to those who have never attended nor thought they would ever enjoy it. This will be a first class production of Arias by Mozart, Rossini, Verdi and others with performances by Tenor Antonio Nagore, Soprano Duana Demus, Mezzo Soprano Jennifer Kosharky, and Baritone John Minagro.
“With the school arts programs in constant jeopardy, it is vital for us as a community to make sure children receive as much exposure to the arts as possible. MTZO makes opera not only accessible but also enjoyable for the children. My goal is to get the word out, not just for this event, but also for the program in general. We can’t underestimate the long-term value of teaching our youth to respect and embrace the different art forms out there” concludes Jerry.
