The Veterans Memorial Building in Lafayette was a great venue for such a large gathering.
The food was exceptional, provided by Fraiche Catering .
Building Manager Ed Stevenson says the event also raised "Half a Barrel full" of donations for Project Marine Care, supporting our troops overseas!
< Warren Boschin did a great job as MC!
Lots of great prizes - The Chamber Link's David won a bottle of wine! - provided by No Trace Shredding
While David
(my dad and The Chamber Link founder)
was attending the mixer in Lafayette, I was lucky enough to go to the Pleasanton Business Tradeshow & Mixer, hosted by Faz and the Four Points Sheraton Hotel .

With over twenty showcased businesses and several hundred attendees, it was a networking success.
< Leon Gundersen, Select Imaging
The event was held in the outside courtyard & gardens in a beautiful, intimate setting. It would be a great place for a romantic dinner for two or even a wedding rehearsal dinner.

On Thursday, I had a blast getting to meet and chat with women at a networking event hosted at Holy Names University in Oakland
The East Bay Women in Business Roundtable
<Annie Wenzel, Holy Names University & Amanda Medina, Oakland Metropolitan Chamber
The East Bay Women in Business Roundtable (as part of the Oakland Metropolitan Chamber) sponsored the event where we sat at tables and gave our 'elevator speech' to five other people. We then mixed it up twice more and did it again with another table. Of course, there was also time to network the more traditional way of mix and mingle

Personally, I loved the easy facilitation of talking to five people at once. I'd do this kind of event again in a heartbeat.
