Our Bay Area: Chamberee, Special 9/11 Exhibit at PCAM & Battle of the Bay
Not only does The Chamber Link tell you about great Chamber events, but we attend them as well! Below is a round-up of the events we were at this past week. Make sure you check out the links below for pictures and additional details.
Today's report is by Carissa Weintraub, Media Services Manager.
Thursday, June 16th, was the annual Chamberee, a mega mixer hosted by twelve Sonoma County Chambers of Commerce.
Held at the Pacific Coast Air Museum (PCAM) in Santa Rosa, it was a fantastic event with several hundred attendees, delectable free food and wine, valuable door prizes, and gorgeous weather.
Mike McGuire and Efren Carillo, Sonoma County Supervisors, even stopped by for a visit.
David de Leeuw, founder of
The Chamber Link
got to meet losts of Chamber Executives at this first event since we launched The Chamber Link of Napa & Sonoma Counties.
David also made sure he visited each booth to get stamped to be eligible to win really great prizes!
A special thanks to the Sebastopol Chamber-I was the lucky winner of their gift basket! Included was a gift certificate for the French Garden Restaurant & Bistro Bar, the Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary, a bottle of Iron Horse Green Valley Classic Vintage Brut, and coffee plus two mugs from Starbucks. David, The Chamber Link founder and my dad, claimed the coffee for himself. As for me, I'm happy with the sparkling wine.
The Pacific Coast Air Museum is a jewel of a museum in Sonoma County. A new addition to their collection is the F-15 Eagle 9/11 First Responder Aircraft. This is an exceptional piece of American history that PCAM is proud to put on exhibit. Donations are needed to help build the exhibit to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attack on United States soil. Please check out their website for more details on the museum and the F-15 Eagle.

Battle of the Bay, A's vs. Giants, was on Friday, June 17th at a sold-out Oakland Coliseum.
The Oakland Chamber of Commerce was there in full force, a mix of orange and green. It was a fun family event with great action on the field.
For those keeping score, the A's won 5 to 2. Yippee! Time to open the Green Valley Brut!
