Located at 250 School Street on the Pittsburg High School campus, the Creative Arts Building was modeled along the lines of the Berkeley Community Theatre on the Berkeley High School campus. Its 2,000-seat main auditorium is the largest theater in Contra Costa County. The building also includes a 242-seat Little Theatre as well as classroom and rehearsal facilities for band, choir and drama.

The all-volunteer nonprofit Pittsburg Creative Arts Building Corporation, with the support of governmental agencies and local businesses and individuals, has restored all 242 seats in the Little Theatre and 1,510 seats in the main auditorium.
